VN-V685U is the world’s first fully functional Power over Ethernet PTZ dome camera
Leading the show for JVC will be the new VN-V685U - the world's first fully functional Power over Ethernet (PoE) PTZ dome camera
JVC Professional Europe will exhibit their innovative and extensive range of PoE security cameras in May at IFSEC 2009, the largest annual global security event.

Leading the show for JVC will be the new VN-V685U - the world's first fully functional Power over Ethernet (PoE) PTZ dome camera.

The VN-V685U uses JVC's durable direct drive motor for precise, silent control over the pan and tilt. Other features include simultaneous distribution of full-frame MPEG-4 and Motion-JPEG streams, a 27x optical zoom and True Day/Night capabilities. There are internal and external (VN-V686WPBU) housing versions available, each of which feature PoE and improved low light level performance.

Phil Wring, Sales Manager, JVC Professional Europe Ltd says, "We expect both professionals and visitors to the show alike will be deeply impressed by the range on display, and especially by the PoE facility for our cameras. JVC is known throughout the industry for reliability, durability and accuracy, but we also try to take the technology forward. We've already had a great reaction from customers to our low power PoE PTZ cameras, compared to normal higher power PTZ cameras."

JVC are also introducing Megapixel technology with the VN-X35U IP camera. This incorporates a 1.3 Megapixel progressive scan CCD to capture high-quality, high-precision images. It can distribute up to Quad VGA (4xVGA), Motion JPEG and VGA MPEG-4, and features Focus Assist mode for accurate focus adjustment and precise imaging. The Quad VGA images allow you to use the VN-X35U like a PTZ camera; using the digital zoom, you can magnify any area of the image and the magnified area can be moved freely to maintain the same zoom ratio.

The VN-X235VP4U and VN-V225VP mini-dome cameras are both IP66 and vandal-resistant, with patent-pending fine adjust focus alignment technology, free shape privacy masking and True Day/Night capabilities, providing optimum picture quality under low light conditions and ensuring secure round-the-clock surveillance.

Displaying all the information will be the new GM-F Series of professional industrial displays, designed for 24/7 operation, which will be displayed in a video wall configuration at IFSEC. Ideal for security and digital signage applications where reliability, robustness and high image quality are essential, there are three sizes available within the series - 42", 47" and 52" models - each offering a high brightness (700cd/m2) and a MTBF (mean time between failures) of over 50,000 hours. The GM-F displays have full HD resolution of 1920x1080 pixels, with an ultra-thin 15mm front bezel for tiled mounting, while a range of I/O make them compatible with virtually any security system. The displays also feature a PIR sensor, which can be used in security, digital signage or for power saving applications. When the sensor detects a person, it can perform specific actions including changing volume level, back light, power on and input select.

The full range of IP dome and static cameras, LCD monitors and 16- and 9-channel network video recorders, form JVC's end-to-end IP network solutions. JVC will be exhibiting at IFSEC on stand C30, Hall 5, at the NEC, Birmingham, from 11-14 May.
