G4S Wackenhut is changing its name to G4S to reflect the company's vision of providing comprehensive security solutions. By building on Wackenhut's proven success as the premier supplier of manned security services, G4S has aggressively positioned itself to deliver a new category of integrated security solutions that combines manpower and technology. Through a series of acquisitions that includes Nuclear Security Services Corp., Touchcom Inc., Adesta and AMAG Technology, G4S will continue to evolve its core competencies from its Wackenhut roots to deliver integrated security solutions for greater performance and efficiency.

G4S' Secure Trax management software platform provides real-time event monitoring, situation management, and business intelligence. Depending on a user's specific needs, event monitoring functions can include any combination of incident management, guard tours, fire and safety inspections and fleet management programs. Secure Trax also provides "business intelligence" capabilities like GPS tracking of assets, personnel and critical issues, as well as immediate access to current and historical security - and safety-related data for every location via a seamless web-based interface helping customers operate more efficiently and achieve a positive return on investment (ROI).
In addition to the internal development of Secure Trax by G4S, the company has pursued numerous acquisitions to accelerate its vision to deliver truly integrated manpower and technology security solutions. Acquisitions include: Nuclear Security Services Corp. (NSSC) which offers risk management, design and engineering services for intrusion detection, access control and video surveillance systems specifically for the nuclear power and other regulated industries; Touchcom Inc. that develops software for visitor management, work flow management, elevator management and facility concierge services; Adesta, a systems integrator that designs and installs sophisticated video surveillance, perimeter protection and related security systems; and AMAG Technology which offers access control, visitor management, smart card and related software-driven applications.
