CCTV manufacturer AD Group, the parent company of Dedicated Micros, was one of only ten UK businesses - and the sole representative from the security sector - to be recognized as ‘One to Watch' in the authoritative annual Sunday Times Profit Track 100 survey.
When making their selection for the ‘One to Watch' category - new for 2006 - the judges from Fast Track, the independent research company, and sponsors PricewaterhouseCoopers visited each of the contenders, focusing not only on annual profits but also assessing overall performance and their plans for the future of the business.
Commented Eva Gronbech, Head of Research at Fast Track: "When we looked at AD Group what stood out for us was the company's on-going development of new products for the CCTV sector, its R&D base in Britain and its ability to exploit new opportunities in the fight against crime and terrorism. Though the company's profits dropped in 2005, its margins remain high at 20% and three acquisitions is a clear indicator that AD Group is likely to grow further in the future."
Said AD Group Director, Adam Wiseberg: "We are extremely pleased that the sustained success of AD - which supplies CCTV systems for use on the ground, in the air and on the move - and its focus on industry-leading technology has been recognized as ‘One to Watch' not just by our peers in the security industry but amongst the wider business community."
