SD Advanced combines all the benefits of a DVR with the capabilities of a high performance embedded NVR and offers multiple channels of IP
Dedicated Micros' closed IPTV version of SD advanced will be launched at Intersec 2011, Dubai

Dedicated Micros part of AD Group will be launching a Closed IPTV version of its SD Advanced at Intersec 2011 in Dubai, allowing this extremely powerful hybrid DVR/NVR to be specified as a pivotal element of the next generation of deterministic, zero configuration, IP video security.

With the SD Advanced Closed IPTV model all that is required to implement this leap in video surveillance technology is to connect it to Dedicated Micros' unique Layer 3 Enhanced CCTV Switch - which provides greater security for less configuration effort than a conventional managed switch and, for maximum benefit, to NetVu Connected IP cameras. This means that it is perfectly possible to leverage the powerful embedded NVR in the SD Advanced to incrementally grow the camera estate on a specific site and, where necessary, to combine existing, installed, analogue cameras with the piece of mind of secure IP and HD cameras across a Closed IPTV system.

Looking in more detail at the key features of the SD Advanced, it combines all the benefits of a DVR with the capabilities of a high performance embedded NVR and offers multiple channels of IP and Analogue video, HDMI main monitor support, on-board analytics, help videos and Oracle Dome configuration.

SD Advanced as a true hybrid DVR/NVR offers upto 32 camera connections in a combination of analogue or IP

As a true hybrid DVR/NVR, the SD Advanced offers up to 32 camera connections in a combination of analogue or IP (including 3rd party IP cameras). Models in the series can support 8, 16 or 32 analogue camera connections, with the balance of the 32 camera connections being made up by IP camera streams and even higher definition devices such as megapixel cameras. A key advance with the latest generation SD Advanced is the adoption of powerful new codecs and an innovative 'Turbo Mode' feature that ensures maximum per camera performance. Enabling the Turbo Mode has the potential, in operation, to effectively double the unit's performance allowing real-time recording at double the resolution simply with the press of a button.

Said Salim Idris, General Manager (Middle East), Dedicated Micros: "The SD Advanced is undoubtedly an attractive option for customers looking for a professional level CCTV solution which can work equally well with analogue and IP cameras and offer innovative features such as the new 'Turbo Mode' to capture more detail of critical incidents. Now with the Closed IPTV model on show at Intersec 2011, the potential has been opened up for the SD Advanced to be used as part of this deterministic IP video solution, in conjunction with our Layer 3 Enhanced CCTV Switch, to optimise protection against hacking attacks - including from vulnerable endpoints - and to simplify set-up and long-term operation."

"Crucially, the market-leading advantages of Dedicated Micros' Closed IPTV version of the SD Advanced were recognised when it received an ASIS Accolades Award and it has already been selected by National Bank of Kuwait (NBK) to be gradually rolled out across its extensive branch network."
