Ben Collins wearing his AD Group branded racing suit during the Le Mans Series |
Collins, who successfully fought-off a High Court injunction by the BBC to block publication of his autobiography - 'The Man in the White Suit', first made his debut behind the wheel of the AD Group, owned and sponsored, Number 25 Lola HPD race car in July. Bidding for Le Mans Prototype 2 (LMP2) honours with his co-drivers Mike Newton and Brazilian Tommy Erdos, Collins managed to deliver an impressive Algarve 1000 kilometres class win. In the season finale at Silverstone, given his positive contribution to the team, it was certainly fitting that the former 'Stig' Ben Collins was behind the wheel to take the chequered flag to secure Championship honours.

Mike Newton, AD Group's CEO and co-driver with Collins said: "It was great having Ben with us for the second half of the year where he readily demonstrated his racing credentials. He fitted in so well, but when he joined us we certainly had no expectation that he would bring quite so much public interest with him. His upcoming appearance in the Fifth Gear trailer as a driver/co-presenter and a recent interview on This Morning wearing his AD Group branded racing suit is definitely a real bonus for us in terms of raising the profile of our business.
