Dedicated Micros exhibits at Intersec 2010
Dedicated Micros will be using Intersec 2010 to underline its extensive end-to-end IP surveillance capabilities
CCTV specialist Dedicated Micros - part of AD Group - will be using Intersec 2010 in Dubai to underline its extensive end-to-end IP surveillance capabilities for a diverse range of applications right up to the enterprise level.

Key innovations from Dedicated Micros on display throughout the exhibition will include, for the first time in the Middle East, the company's revolutionary Integrated Camera Recording (ICR) technology; the award-winning Emergency Messaging and Mass Notification system; the Infiniti - a new integrated PTZ camera unit - and the latest Archive Management System (AMS) which offers users an enhanced video management capability.

The Integrated Recording (ICR) technology, being showcased by Dedicated Micros at Intersec, underscores its position at the forefront of CCTV innovation. This groundbreaking concept - realised in products such as the CamVu ICR - brings together a megapixel or standard IP camera with a powerful enterprise class video server - all in one compact package - to deliver robust, failsafe recording and video management at the edge of a customer's network.

Dedicated Micros' Emergency Messaging and Mass Notification system, which will be on stand at Intersec, has already been recognised by two prestigious industry awards at during 2009 - at IFSEC and IIPSEC - and continues to receive plaudits for its revolutionary approach to emergency management. In operation the Emergency Messaging System (EMS) provides unparalleled situational awareness and a two-way communication capability with specified assets should a major incident or a disaster occur; there is also the potential to generate revenue through a Mass Notification System (MNS) and, simultaneously, to continue to perform normal surveillance tasks.

The new Infiniti integrated PTZ camera unit, being unveiled by Dedicated Micros at Intersec, is an extremely capable solution combining a camera, IR illuminator, integral screen wiper/washer control and built-in pan and tilt mechanism. It has been designed specifically for outdoor applications where optical clarity and low/zero light operation are key requirements. An exciting enhancement to this range includes a new Thermal Imaging Camera. The Infiniti "Thermal", extends the potential for the product to monitor much wider areas, with a range of up 900 m within which a human sized object can be detected, regardless of weather and lighting conditions.

When it comes to video management, Dedicated Micros believes that its latest AMS (Archive Management System) provides a unique method of managing the content produced by large scale fixed and mobile CCTV solutions. As a centrally located database AMS can automatically index all video and associated metadata from connected devices. In addition, a powerful archive feature allows searches for video stored on a remote device or footage archived centrally and the export of video or still images for evidential purposes.

Visitors to Dedicated Micros' stand at Intersec 2010 will also have the opportunity to win a CamVu 2000 megapixel camera, now available with an ICR (Integrated Camera Recording) capability, by entering a free prize draw.

Said Salim Idris, General Manager (Middle East) at Dedicated Micros: "We believe that the range of new CCTV solutions we are displaying at Intersec, from our Integrated Camera Recording (ICR) concept to the Emergency Messaging and Mass Notification System, demonstrates our commitment to remain at the very forefront of surveillance technology in the Middle East region so maximising our customers return on their investment."
