OnSSI's Ocularis now supports Brickcom's megapixel network cameras
Brickcom's Megapixel Fixed Box Network Camera

OnSSI, the market leader in open-architecture, intelligent IP-based video surveillance software, announces integration of their Ocularis physical security information system (PSIM) platform with Brickcom Corporation's megapixel network cameras. The Brickcom FB-100A Fixed Box camera and the Brickcom FD-100A Fixed Dome camera have H.264 video compression to reduce bandwidth and storage requirements, and also support M-JPEG and MPEG-4 compression. The cameras feature Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) and use embedded megapixel progressive sensors and CPUs to provide extremely clear and detailed 1280x800-pixel images at 30 frames-per-second.

OnSSI's non-proprietary software platform equips users to leverage the capabilities of Brickcom megapixel cameras as part of a networked video system to record and manage digital images, for instant access to video of anything in any camera's field-of-view. The investigative capabilities of OnSSI's software allow users to review captured video in detail, to analyse it frame-by-frame if necessary, and to fast-forward or view events in a compressed timeframe. Integration of Brickcom megapixel cameras provides customers more flexibility to deploy surveillance systems that combine the benefits of megapixel image quality with OnSSI's functionality and ease-of-use.

Brickcom's Fixed Box network cameras enable users to view live video feed anywhere

"Megapixel imaging provides a great enhancement to the image quality of video systems, and incorporating the abilities of Brickcom megapixel cameras into an Ocularis system empowers users to make strategic use of the advantages of better quality video," said Gadi Piran, President and Chief Technology Officer, OnSSI. "Two basic components of an effective surveillance solution are great image quality and access to video when and where it is needed in an enterprise. Together, OnSSI and Brickcom provide both."

The Brickcom Fixed Box network cameras enable users to view live video feed anywhere by Internet browser or 3G mobile phone. The Wireless Fixed Box camera can be installed in any location where there is wireless coverage. The Brickcom Fixed Dome series provides a 3-axis mechanical design and a wide-angle, vari-focal lens for wide view coverage of all angles. In addition to a built-in IR cut filter, the Dome series features an auto light sensor that triggers infrared LEDs for day/night function. The Brickcom EasyConfig software enables simple installation for all Brickcom cameras.

"While megapixel technology provides great advantages, our integration with OnSSI now brings an even higher level solution to the user," said Ebony Huang, President and CEO, Brickcom Corporation. "As the industry evolves, this type of technology integration will continue to become essential to the overall security solution."
