With the huge success of Apple's iPhone and iPad in recent years, the user base of the Mac is growing by leaps and bounds. In the meantime, as network cameras become more affordable and widely deployed, their compatibility with the Mac platform has risen in importance.
With an aim to become the leading provider of innovative technology, Compro sees the latest market trend and is quick to jump on the Macintosh bandwagon. Come the camera firmware version 2.04, which is due for release in November, Apple Mac OS X Snow Leopard will be officially added to the support list of Compro IP series network cameras. By then, Compro network camera customers will be able to run camera setup software, view live video feed, and perform configuration using the Safari browser on their Mac computer systems.
With the newly added Mac support, Compro is hoping to tap into the fast-growing Mac user base by maximising the user flexibility of its network camera products. Compro IP series network cameras offer advanced surveillance features such as 1.3 megapixel resolution, H.264 compression, and plug-n-play setup, just to name a few.
