| Canon's full range of network cameras will now be offered by Genitech in the French market |

Canon Europe, world-leader in imaging solutions, has today announced its partnership with Genitech, a specialist distributor of video security products and solutions to the French market. Genitech will offer its customers in France Canon's full range of network cameras from today.
The partnership will see Genitech provide Canon's highly detailed video capture and HD technology to systems integrators and end users as part of a complete package, integrated with server and software applications from its other partners. Genitech has already seen demand for Canon's technology from its law enforcement customers and expects further interest from all security sectors, including power stations, airports and other transport hubs.
Genitech chose to partner with Canon due to its unique position in the network camera market; Canon has 70 years of optical and digital imaging heritage as a high quality lens manufacturer and market leader in digital SLR and broadcasting technologies. Canon uses the core technology assets from these areas to develop network cameras which deliver exceptional image quality and capture best in class images in all light conditions.

Canon and Genitech's partnership includes co-exhibiting at key security events in Europe, to further increase Canon's profile within the video surveillance camera sector. Canon and Genitech showcased integrated solutions at APS 2011 in September 2011.
