G4S showcases law enforcement support services at NSA
G4S offers services including transporting prisoners, courthouse security, operating jails, etc.
Attendees at this year's National Sheriffs' Association (NSA) conference and exhibition represent law enforcement agencies from across the country, many facing an unprecedented need to slash budgets and work within limited resources. G4S, a provider of comprehensive security solutions, is showcasing their law enforcement support services at the NSA show to help local agencies by providing significant costs savings for Sheriffs and taxpayers. G4S can boost Sheriff Office effectiveness by identifying security-related duties currently being performed by sworn law enforcement personnel and then delivering a law-enforcement-calibre contract programme to perform those duties.

G4S offers law enforcement support services including transporting prisoners (local/intrastate), courthouse security, operating jails, guarding prisoners in hospitals and parking enforcement. Other G4S service offerings include providing judicial process servers, offering inmate intake services, securing inmate video/visitation centres, supplying paddy wagon services, working in juvenile assessment centres and other less critical roles performed by law enforcement.

G4S also provides an important source of employment opportunity for former and retired law enforcement personnel, including many seeking work after losing their law enforcement jobs due to budget cutbacks.

G4S will display on the NSA show floor the new fortified 15-passenger transportation van

"Local governments are struggling in the wake of the economic recession, and unfortunately, too often law enforcement agencies feel the brunt of budget cutbacks," said Marty Martinez, G4S Manager of Business Development for Sheriff and Police Associations. "There has been no better time than now for agencies to look at ways to work smarter and to maximise the effectiveness of limited resources. At G4S we pride ourselves on partnering with local law enforcement agencies in service to the community."

On-site at the NSA Show in Anaheim, G4S will feature one of the Customs and Border Patrol (CBP) fortified buses that help address illegal immigration issues at the U.S. - Mexican border under a contract with CBP. G4S's fortified buses logged 19 million miles and transported nearly one million illegal immigrants for the CBP last year, while freeing up CBP personnel. G4S will display on the NSA show floor the new fortified 15-passenger transportation van used in a contract with the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to transport illegal immigrants in urban areas. In addition, the G4S booth will feature two new T3 Motion three-wheeled electric human transport vehicles. Giveaways at the G4S booth will be a big-screen TV and other items.
