Arecont Vision, the industry leader in IP megapixel camera technology, announced its first implementation of ONVIF (Open Network Video Interface Forum) conformance to coincide with the release of the new MegaDome 2 and MegaVideo Compact WDR cameras. The ONVIF specification defines a common protocol for the exchange of information between network video devices.
“Our new MegaDome 2 and MegaVideo Compact WDR cameras are the first of many ONVIF conforming products from Arecont Vision,” said Raul Calderon, Senior Vice President, Arecont Vision. “Simplifying the migration to networked system interoperability is a great benefit to both professional video surveillance resellers and end-users. ONVIF conformance in addition to our existing PSIA (Physical Security Interoperability Alliance) conformance perfectly aligns with Arecont Vision’s global strategy of keeping an open standards approach to delivering megapixel camera solutions.”
