RISC brings together the UK industrial community to support the Government in creating a more secure and safe environment for UK citizens
RISC and the Olympic Security Directorate conduct survey on securing major sporting events
The UK Security and Resilience Suppliers' Community (RISC) and the Olympic Security Directorate (OSD) are asking for input from industry about organisations' experience in securing major sporting events.

A survey is being conducted by RISC to enable UK industry to inform Government about industry experience in previous Olympic Games and other major sporting events and to record lessons learnt.

David Evans, Co-chairman of the RISC Industry Advisory Group which has created the survey, comments: "RISC and the OSD are well aware of the breadth of knowledge and experience in the UK security industry with regard to securing major sporting events. This is a unique opportunity for us to harness this knowledge and for security companies to provide input into the planning for London 2012."

Organisations with experience of previous major events can access the survey at this link.

The closing date for submitting responses is 15th September 2009. A RISC team comprising its trade associations will then collate responses to be submitted to the Olympic Security Directorate. All responses will remain confidential and when the survey is reported on, the results will be non attributable to individuals or companies.
