BICSI offers Continuing Education Credits for OnSSI's Level I Channel Partner Training Program |
Participants in the Certified Channel Partner (CCP) Level I training course offered by On-Net Surveillance Systems, Inc. (OnSSI) are now eligible for 14 Continuing Education Credits (CECs) from BICSI, a professional organisation for the information transport systems (ITS) industry. The two-day course includes structured, hands-on lab and instructor-led training sessions related to OnSSI's industry-leading professional IP video surveillance software applications, including Ocularis, The Platform for IP Video Management.
CECs awarded by BICSI can be applied to the organisation's certification programs, which are recognised internationally as designations of an individual's knowledge and expertise in an area of ITS design or installation, including voice, data and video technologies. Participants in OnSSI's CCP Level I course are required to have been employed for three months by an OnSSI channel partner company.
"Now that our first training course has been recognised for BICSI continuing education credits, the time and effort our channel partners spend learning about our technologies brings them closer to earning or renewing their professional credentials," said Julio Montalvo, Director of Technical Services at OnSSI. "We have joined BICSI as a corporate member because we recognize the value of ongoing professional development of our channel partners, especially critical as it relates to our cutting-edge product suite."

OnSSI has expanded its channel partner training from a single two-day course into Level I and Level II courses, each two days. The Level I course has received approval to count as 14 CECs, and approval is pending to offer additional CECs for the Level II course. Level I is required for an OnSSI Channel Partner (CP) to become a Certified Channel Partner (CCP). A new Strategic Training Partner (STP) program will expand the scope of OnSSI's training, with approved CCPs conducting the training nationwide. Session topics include the evolution of video surveillance, IP technology, optimised network topology, image resolution terminology, video database storage and archiving considerations, and in-depth hands-on training on OnSSI's products.
Ocularis from OnSSI is a non-proprietary, open architecture video-centric PSIM (Physical Security Information Management) platform that provides the user with complete control of all aspects of video detection, analysis, delivery and response.
