There is a growing demand for education on the latest technology innovations in IP surveillance |
With the ongoing migration from analogue CCTV to IP-based surveillance there is a constant and growing demand for education on the latest technology innovations and applications. Axis has been offering its customers and partners training courses on the different aspects of IP surveillance at various Axis Communications Academies around the world for several years. However for a variety of e-learning courses it is no longer necessary to be a partner to take part. Anyone interested can now log on to the academy site and register for these free online courses.
It is important that people stay ahead of the game in terms of network surveillance knowledge, but this can be challenging when they are busy at customer sites and on the road. The e-learning format means that people can now access it at any time from any location. The modular courses cover a variety of topics including design, services and understanding specific products.
According to a recent IMS study, security integrators are shifting their focus from installation to analysis and design, having identified this area as a new and more profitable revenue stream. Phil Doyle, Regional Director, Northern Europe, Axis Communications, backs this up: "We conducted a global survey of our partners and found a clear trend in the demand for design focused courses. Systems designers, more than anyone else, are looking for comprehensive courses which cover a wide range of competencies. We offer the course ‘Tools and Resources for System Designers', amongst a number of others, all of which can be attended online at anytime from anywhere in the world."
