Sanyo’s CCTV division has the busiest ever IFSEC
The stars on Sanyo's stand at IFSEC 2010 were the nine Sanyo Full HD CCTV cameras

"We have always benefited from exhibiting at IFSEC but this year was particularly successful for us with a record number of visitors making their way to our stand," said David Hammond, European Sales Manager for Sanyo's CCTV division. "I am sure other exhibitors equally found IFSEC 2010 to be busy but I am very pleased to say that we seemed to have more than our fair share of visitors."

The stars of the products on show on Sanyo's stand at IFSEC 2010 were the nine cameras which make up the Sanyo Full HD camera range. "The market seems to have very quickly made up its mind about Full HD technology. We witnessed excitement rather than hesitancy from installers and system integrators in respect of taking the new technology on board," added David Hammond. "This interest has certainly been helped by the fact that the price/performance ratio of our Full HD cameras is meeting customers' expectations. It is also perhaps stimulated by the fact that CCTV system specifiers are also consumers and are therefore seeing HD quality images on their home TVs."

IFSEC visitors had a genuine interest in what Full HD cameras are capable of doing and how they can be designed into future CCTV projects

Throughout the four days of the show Sanyo enjoyed a constant stream of visitors with a genuine interest in what Full HD cameras are capable of doing and how they can be designed into future CCTV projects. "This level of interest has been matched at recent Expos in Amsterdam, Lisbon and Madrid and it is also very encouraging that many of the leading developers of security management software solutions have come to see us about integrating our protocols into their software platforms," said David Hammond.

Sanyo launched its range of real time Full HD cameras at the end of 2009. The nine cameras are collectively designed to provide a solution for virtually any project with vandal resistant domes, PTZ cameras and a zoom camera included in the range, as well as a choice of three fixed cameras with CS mounts to provide a choice of lens. HD cameras can, for example, in many cases do the same job as four standard CCTV cameras thereby offering considerable financial savings without impeding the performance of the overall system. In many such cases, HD cameras and connectivity can enhance the system performance by offering superb quality images which, together with built-in video analytics, take what a CCTV system can deliver to a much higher level.
