Samsung ups its CCTV offerings with new UTP CCTV camera series launch

Samsung Techwin America was displaying its new UTP camera series at ISC West 2010 that deliver high-quality video for distances up to 3,000 feet over unshielded twisted pair (UTP) structured cable. The new UTP dome and box cameras feature easy installation and management, and are compatible with UTP hubs from leading suppliers. Samsung also offers a UTP kit consisting of a UTP receiver, transceiver and junction box to deliver a complete UTP camera solution. Samsung's new UTP camera series also reduces the need for multiple local power supplies further enhancing their overall cost efficiency.

The new SUD-2080 high resolution UTP dome camera employs Samsung's innovative W5 chipset to capture 600 lines of resolution to yield clear and accurate images with a minimum illumination of only 0.15lux. The unit is available in a flush-mount version, (SUD-2080F) which requires no additional accessories for installation and blends in well with any interior. Super Noise Reduction III (SSNRIII) provides noise free images, and optional SSDR (Samsung Super Dynamic Range) and DIS (Digital Image Stabilisation) provide highly viewable images in scenes with varying light conditions even in locations subject to vibration.

The SUB-2000 high resolution UTP box camera provides 600 lines of resolution and an ultra-low light level of 0.05lux. Equipped with Samsung's new W5 chipset, the SUB-2000 produces detailed images with accurate colour reproduction in varying lighting conditions, and is compatible with SSDR and SSNRlll for added image clarity.

Both the SUD-2080 and SUB-20000 also feature on-screen displays for remote set-up that can be controlled via coax connection, and provide dual video display via a BNC output terminal. Surge and lightning protection incorporated into the units withstands a maximum of a + 4KV surge and lightning that meets the ANSI/IEEE 587 C62.41 standard.
