As part of its newly-invigorated commitment to technology innovation, reduced time to market, total customer satisfaction and complete product quality, Pelco management has announced several internal operational changes.
In the area of technology innovation, company management has appointed Greg Millar to the newly-created position of Chief Technology Officer. In this position, Millar is championed with designing the future of video surveillance by helping to discover and develop emerging technologies that will drive Pelco's innovation and leadership within the IT/IP and HD video markets.
As part of a complete company focus to bring advanced product offerings quickly to market, Pelco management has moved to consolidate the engineering team under a single Vice President. With this decision, Ben Kimbell has accepted the position of Pelco Vice President of Engineering and Product Development. Included in this position is the combined imaging and systems engineering departments. The functional teams of Engineering Testing, Product Strategy and Technical Publications will also reside within this comprehensive engineering department. Kimbell will report directly to Meyer. Additionally, to help in this effort, Joel Larner has accepted the position of Vice President, Program Management. Included in this position are the responsibilities of program and project management, overall governance to process and procedures, and metrics management of the overall product development process.

With a focus to bring new tools and capabilities to achieving total customer satisfaction, the Pelco Product Support Department is now under new leadership and the group has been moved to a new position within the organisation. Joanne Weber-Fosnight has accepted the position of Vice President, Product Support. Included with this position are the global functions of Technical Support and Warranty/Repair Service, Product Support Engineering, and CSIS. The Pelco Global Training and Quality Assurance Departments will now, respectively, report directly to the Sales Department and to the Operations Department.
"With our Technical Support Department now focused exclusively on customer issues, and with Quality Assurance now embedded within Operations, our team will be even more focused on customer support on a global basis and be able to very proactively address any product quality concerns," said Pelco President and CEO Dean Meyer.
And finally, Pelco management and the entire company officially congratulated Senior Vice President, Jim Brannan, on his retirement and thanked him for his outstanding contribution to the company over the past seven years. Brannan's leadership was instrumental in growing Pelco into a global company.
As a result of Mr. Brannan's retirement, and in order to further advance tighter marketing support for the global sales organisation, officials have announced that the Pelco Marketing Department has been consolidated with Sales under the leadership of Cliff Holtz, who will now serve as Senior Vice President of America Sales and Global Marketing.
