Panasonic is demonstrating an impressive array of new technologies and systems products at ASIS 2009. In addition to enhancing its industry leading line of i-Pro Series Network Solutions, Panasonic continues to introduce select analogue products incorporating the latest technologies in support of legacy system users. Panasonic is also showcasing its innovative retail management solution that provides seamless integration of the company's world-renowned Point-of-Sale (POS) systems and video surveillance devices on a unified platform.

New products on display in Panasonic's Booth # 2018 at ASIS 2009 include:

Panasonic's new i-Pro WV-NW502S Vandal-Resistant Fixed Dome and WV-NP502 Box Megapixel Cameras incorporate the company's exclusive MEGA Super Dynamic (MEGA SD) camera technology with 128x dynamic range, Adaptive Black Stretch technology to make dark areas more visible, and face detection technology to better identify subjects. The units also provide streaming of H.264, MPEG-4 and JPEG compression formats.

New analogue cameras include the IP66-rated WV-CW504 Vandal-Resistant Fixed Dome Camera series and WV-CP500 Box Camera series with the latest Super Dynamic 5 (SD5) image processing. Advanced features include: Adaptive Black Stretch technology for clearer images; intelligent-Video Motion Detection (i-VMD); Day/Night operation; Auto Image Stabilizer; 3-dimensional color conversion for natural color reproduction; Adaptive Digital Noise Reduction; and over-the-coax cable data communication. Both units deliver 650 lines of resolution in color mode and 700 lines of resolution in B/W mode with light sensitivity of only 1.0 lux in color and 0.01 lux in B/W.

The new WJ-HD716 16-channel Real-Time Digital Video Recorder (DVR) features a proprietary UniPhier System LSI Platform to provide real-time field recording of 480/400 images per second (ips) and frame recording of 240/200 ips, and H.264 compression for more efficient use of disk space. Key features include: Intelligent Video Motion Detection (i-VMD) with Super Dynamic 5 Link (SD5Link) to share metadata information between cameras and the recorder; and dual HDMI video outputs for true 1080i HD playback. Panasonic also introduced the WJ-HD616 16-channel H.264 DVR that provides 240/200 ips (field) and 120/100 ips (frame) recording.

Panasonic's new PMPU1000 System Management Server delivers flexibility and scalability for a range of video networking needs, up to and including creation of a global system with universal cross-network access to video. Key features include flexibility to mix a range of devices, from matrix switchers, DVRs and analogue cameras to IP cameras - whether pan-tilt-zoom, fixed dome or fixed box - and various network recorders; a user-friendly administrative console; and a satellite feature enabling 64 stand-alone servers to be linked into a global system.

Panasonic's new WV-LW2200 High Definition Wide Screen LCD Monitor provides full HD resolution (1,920 x 1,080 pixels) in a screen measuring 21.6-inches (diagonally), and the WV-LW1900 offers W-XGS resolution (1,366 x 768 pixels) in an 18.5-inch screen (diagonally).

Virtual Site Manager (VSM) integrates Panasonic's superior video imaging and industry-proven Point-of-Sale (POS) system solutions to create a powerful, multifaceted business tool that provides complete control of integrated video/POS systems with advanced remote management capabilities.

Also on display is Panasonic's A+ Series with audio security, an innovative feature for instructors using the new A+ Series Classroom Audio Systems which provides audio, video, and e-mail notification in the event of emergency situations in classrooms.

Panasonic is also displaying several new Network Cameras for residential and small business remote monitoring applications, including wireless, PoE, PTZ and outdoor splash proof models.
