These classified contracts mark Octavian's entry into the high-risk corporate protection market - a move that the company's founder Sukhi Ghuman has been developing for the past four years.
Ghuman, who now drives all of Octavian's international operations, is famed in the UK security industry for being one of the first to utilise ex-Gurkha Rifle security officers in retail and corporate security roles. He has now built Octavian's specialist corporate protection team, comprising ex-US Marines and SA military intelligence officers, to escort and protect blue chip officials on global business in high-risk areas such as parts of East Africa, the Middle East and Asia.
"I have spent my career travelling the globe making many connections with highly skilled military personnel, which is why I was able to build this team," explains Sukhi Ghuman.

"And so after repeated requests from some of the world's largest organisations to provide this service, we now feel that we are able to offer a service provision that is second to none."
"We have considerable experience of armed security provision and we are well-versed in the niche requirements of World trouble spots, so it's a natural progression to diversify into this niche area of security provision."
According to Ghuman, whose company has experience of operations in the Middle East, Asia, Europe and North America, this will be the first of many overseas contracts due to be announced, with the company making considerable ground in the US market in 2010.
Octavian Continental has also enjoyed recent success with its Centurion International Audit programme in Spain, where clients' businesses are assessed for possible weaknesses, errors and unprofessional behaviour in the security provisions they are paying for.
