SMC Networks and Artec Technologies join forces to deliver market-leading IP surveillance package

SMC Networks to include Artec´s MULTIEYE® software with IP camera to target professional market

SMC Networks, a leading provider of LAN hardware and broadband connectivity devices, announced that has signed a preferred product partnership with artec technologies, a specialist manufacturer of high quality video surveillance software, to support expanding sales in its IP cameras and meet growing demand from customers for professional standard IP surveillance solutions in business environments.

Artec Technologies develops and produces innovative software and system solutions for the transmission and recording of video, audio and metadata in both network and Internet environments. Initially, the partnership will see SMC Networks including a demo version of Artec's MULTIEYE® video surveillance platform with its EZ Connect Vision™ Wireless Pan Tilt Zoom IP camera (SMCWIPCAM-PZ), enabling customers to test a professional standard IP surveillance system with up to 4 channels which can be upgraded by buying a full version with up to 32 channels.

SMC Networks' EZ Connect Vision™ Wireless Pan Tilt Zoom IP Camera (SMCWIPCAM-PZ) is an ideal solution for the home, small office or larger business with day and night surveillance needs. SMCWIPCAM-PZ can be connected and viewed through wired or wireless (up to 54Mbps) connections and can be monitored remotely from anywhere through Internet Explorer 6.0 (ActiveX is required). The camera also allows video streaming to a 3G mobile phone supporting the 3GPP format. With 7 Infra Red (IR) LED sensors, images can be viewed and/or recorded even in low light environments. The SMC IP Camera utilizes advanced video (MPEG4/MJPEG) dual compression to stream and record high quality images with 2-way audio function. SMCWIPCAM-PZ is compact and comes with a mounting kit for flexible and easy installation.
