360° surveillance from eneo: See all-round. Secure all-round. Good all-round
360° surveillance from eneo: See all-round. Secure all-round. Good all-round

360° surveillance from eneo A disadvantage of conventional surveillance cameras is that they capture only a relatively small field of view. And only a few of them generally support a range of more than 90 degrees. If, though, the requirement is to see everything, in particular the area to the left, right and behind the camera, then further cameras are needed. But this can quickly become expensive and complicated. The practical technical solution that is also less of a financial strain is a panoramic camera, because it delivers the 360 degree all-round view as standard, and it is the optimum choice when you need a continuous widescreen panoramic or complete access control.  Not all panoramic cameras are the same There are basically three different types of panoramic camera: fisheye, polymorphic and segmented cameras. The last two unquestionably have their strengths and rights to exist, but they are considered to be on the way out and unsightly (polymorphic) or not so widespread (segmented) and relatively expensive (both). The most widespread “panoramic” is the one with a fisheye lens. This ultra-wide-angle lens is installed in a dome housing so that its external picture alone is one of overall style. A single lens and image converter show the entire 360 degree scene in an image with native curvature, the typical fisheye look. All-round good: PXD-5360F01IR The rule particularly for panoramics is: the larger the area under surveillance, the lower the pixel density. This makes high resolution cameras obligatory and is precisely where the new PXD-5360F01IR eneo fisheye camera shines: fitted with a 5 megapixel image sensor it delivers a maximum resolution of an impressive 2592 x 1944 pixels. Whoever is satisfied with “simply” Full HD with 4080p experiences the 360 degree imagery at up to 30 fps – therefore, or therefore the best, conditions for not only good identification of details close to and below the camera, but also those somewhat further away or at the image edges. But the new 360°-PXD can do even more: the PoE-capable IP camera has a switchable IR cut filter making it a true day & night camera. The integral infrared illumination is exhibited by 6 LEDs that can also be switched off. Digital Wide Dynamic Range and 3DNR are further image-improving features. The maintenance-free EPTZ, as it does without moving parts, allows digital continuous pan, tilt and zoom. Finally, the 360° also sets the right tone to make it completely “round”: the camera has a built-in microphone and speaker.

The IP Domes in the new F Series from eneo: four different models for discrete surveillance solutions

In addition to IP cameras and recorders the F Series offers four different network dome models: two fixed domes with full day/night functionality and two extremely compact mini-domes for discrete surveillance solutions. All four models are ONVIF compatible. The FXD-1001/IR and FXD-1002/IR IP Fixed Domes are day/night models with a switchable infrared cut filter and integrated infrared illumination. The FXD-1001/IR features a resolution of 1280x960 pixels. At this resolution a frame rate of 12.5 frames per second is achieved and 25 frames per second at 1280x720 pixels. The FXD-1002/IR has a 2-megaixel resolution of 1600x1200 pixels which achieves a frame rate of 12.5 frames per second (25 frames per second at HD 720p). Both models come with one alarm input and output and one audio input and output. With their dimensions of 100x97.5x46.5 mm the FLD-1101 and FXD-1102 mini-domes allow nearly invisible ceiling installation, which predestines them for discrete surveillance solutions such as in buses and trains (certified for public transport). The FLD-1101 with a VGA resolution of 640x480 pixels displays imagery in real time at a rate of 25 frames per second. Its light sensitivity is 0.4 Lux (at F1.2 colour). The FXD-1102 has a 2-megapixel resolution of 1600x1200 pixels and a rate of 12.5 frames per second at full resolution and 25 frames per second at 1280x720 pixels (HD 720p). The light sensitivity is 0.5 Lux (at F1.2 colour). The features include dual video streams, H.264 compression, Power over Ethernet and integrated motion detector. The IP fixed domes as well as the IP mini-domes have effective protection against vandalism, vibration and shock: with IK10 the domes have the highest protection classification on the IK shock resistance scale and can resist shocks up to 20 joules without any problems. Operation at sites with a risk of manipulation or deliberate damage is therefore problem-free. This of course also applies for outside areas as the domes are protected compliant with IP66 and therefore have effective weather protection. Installation could not be simpler as the dome 3-axes adjustment feature accurately brings them into the required position.
