A new approach to IP surveillance – IP cameras, DINA NVR and DINA RMC remote monitoring centre

Most IP camera surveillance systems today are based on central recording and monitoring of images from remote IP cameras.  This is a good solution for small systems, but in case of larger number of cameras, it requires an enormous bandwidth in the central station.  Also, the management of the system becomes difficult, as all images are stored centrally in a huge database. The DINA Video Management System from Mirasys Ltd. is based on local recording with DINA NVRs (Network Video Recorders), and central management with the DINA RMC Remote Monitoring Centre. The images and audio clips from IP cameras are transmitted over a large-bandwidth LAN network to a local DINA NVR, where they are stored.  The advanced motion detection and alarm event management of DINA NVR’s enable further transmission of alarms (including real-time video) to the central station.Hybrid DVR’s, that support IP and analogue cameras simultaneously, are also available. DINA RMC can manage up to 100 remote NVR’s or 1600 IP cameras, allowing real-time monitoring, retrieval of stored video and audio, advanced alarm management and user profile management.  The RMC system consists of a server with SQL database and up to eight workstations. The main advantages of the DINA IP system are:Only relevant images / audio streams are transmitted Lower bandwidth requirement at central station Less transmissions in public networks - less security problems Larger number of cameras can be managed centrally Scalable system management at both ends Efficient SQL database for alarm event management Local and system watchdogs available On-site watermarking of images – high data integrity Lower risks due to distributed storage and intelligence

DiREX-Pro.A30 from BWA – environmentally toughened, 4-port encoder with integrated DVR

Being non-PC based, DiREX-Pro DVRs are suitable for transfer even on low bands such as WLAN or 3G/UMTS and so ideal for peripheral use.  The frame rate adjusts itself to the available bandwidth - but maintaining consistent video quality.  Local recording is always at full speed and so video data can be completely restored.  Automatic email notifications triggered by sound, movement, alarms and power failure or pre-timed are all possible - complete with picture attachment. With its built-in shock sensor and massive -20° to +65°C operation range, the Pro.A30 model is ideal for mobile use and even outdoors.  The DVR easily handles even the most sudden (up to 60°C/hour) temperature changes.  User-deactivatable FIFO ring memory and comprehensive HDD management guarantees continuous recording even during 24h continuous operation.  Amongst others pre-alarm recording is continuously buffered in the operational memory and the internal drive will be activated only when needed.Key features:High Video Quality at Low Bit RatesMPEG-4-Based Compression (4-7 GB/day)4 Video, 2 Audio ChannelsExtended Temperature RangeIntelligent Video Analysis (18x24 area/channel)Onboard Webserver for Remote Viewing of Live and Recorded Data (incl. multicast & access control)Efficient Transfer at Low Bandwidth – WLAN, DSL, ISDN or 3G/UMTS (adaptable dynamic bit rate)Low Power Consumption (max.generated: 30BTU/hr)HDD Temperature Monitoring, Fan-Less OperationPTZ Control with Presets and ToursWiFi and GPS Support
