Mitsubishi DX-NT400E digital recorder
Mitsubishi DX-NT400E digital recorder

The new pioneering DX-NT400E can accommodate up to 600Gb of hard disk recording space, using 2 300Gb HDDs; hard drives are not supplied with the unit allowing users to fit the memory to suit their own requirements. This model also has a unique HDD caddy, which is not only removable but also interchangeable; additional caddies (DX-TR400) are purchasable. The interchangeable caddy means that recordings can be removed and stored, which may be necessary if an incident occurs and images are required as evidence. The purchase of additional HDDs can provide the user with a long term storage option. This advanced yet easy to operate machine benefits from a built-in multiplexer that allows for up to four cameras to be connected. Simultaneous recording and playback is available via the built-in full duplex facility. There are up to five selectable picture grades and nine recording time modes with up to 25 pictures per second per camera. Combining all this with the date, time, camera, alarm and index search facilities allows for a variety of monitoring levels. The Mitsubishi DX-NT400E also includes built-in motion detection, this allows the level of camera motion sensitivity to be individually adjusted and provides greater efficiency to maximise potential recording time. This digital recorder also has full networking capability allowing for remote monitoring and control to be carried out through a networked PC, eliminating the need for site visits. The DX-NT400E comes with Mitsubishi’s Nethunter lite application software and through this the user can download incidents remotely. For added system security, a removable remote control is available and the HDD caddy is lockable.

Bosch extends its range of encoders with VideoJet 8008 8-channel MPEG encoder
Bosch extends its range of encoders with VideoJet 8008 8-channel MPEG encoder

VideoJet 8008 is Bosch's high-end, multi-stream Video-over-IP CCTV network-based video surveillance encoder.  It delivers the highest quality real-time video available today and its hardware engine produces 25 images per second of pure MPEG-4 video in DVD-like quality.  This 19-inch rack-mount single unit incorporates multiple encoders delivering eight full-motion video channels, with each channel generating non-multiplexed video at 30 images per second (IPS).The high-quality output video signals allow video to be viewed on any standard PC using Bosch's VIDOS video management software or a web browser.  Alternatively if used in conjunction with a high-performance MPEG-4 decoder a point-to-point hybrid analogue/digital solution can be created.  This technology uses the highest quality analogue cameras and analogue CCTV monitors, but with a pure IP solution in-between.The VideoJet 8008 has Dual Streaming technology, which encodes the video input signal in two different ways but simultaneously.  So, for example, in 2CIF resolution with 6 IPS for recording, and in 4CIF with 25 IPS for live viewing at a workstation with software decoder or a hardware monitor. The encoder features three key recording modes: continuous ring or linear recording; a continuous alarm-sensitive mode and a pre-/post-alarm option which preserves a short segment of video just before and after the alarm (up to 128 events per camera can be recorded). The internal hard disk records weeks at a time locally, or for more extended recording periods it can use the VIDOS-NVR network video recorder, which has RAID5 disk arrays attached for maximum fault tolerance and a storage capacity of over 45 TB.Commenting on the VideoJet 8008, Jeremy Hockham, Managing Director of Bosch Security Systems said: "Not only is it powerful enough to simultaneously allow MPEG-4 live viewing, recording and playback or backup, but combined with a complete set of security and distributed system management it is also the market's most powerful, highest quality MPEG-4 encoder and recorder."

TeleEye launches GX Series 400fps real-time HD video recording server

TeleEye offers all the advantages of HD video surveillance in the new series of GX Standalone Real Time HD Video Recording Servers. The new members are 4-, 9- and 16- channel digital video recording servers which support real-time HD recording up to the maximum frame rate of 400fps at 720p resolution and incorporated with advanced proprietary HD SMAC-M compression technology. GX is specially designed for recording videos of MX Series HD Video Cameras.Plug and play designThe CAMLOCK* Technology simplifies the camera installation process. The system is ready to display and record video with auto cameras selection and configuration for all the 16 individual ports. The Plug and Play design creates trouble-free IP setup.Secure network architectureAs the CAMLOCK* Technology separates the video network from the data network, unauthorised access of all installed cameras can be avoided. The video recording performance would not be interfered with the data traffic in the users' existing network, or vice versa.HD surveillance on mobile devicesTeleEye GX keeps your eyes on while you are on the move. The HD SMAC-M video coder of GX provides independent stream for remote viewing using mobile devices, such as iPhone, iPad, Blackberry, Android smartphones, Android tablets, and other smartphones supporting J2ME.Complete end-to-end HD video surveillance solutionIn contrasting with many other IP video surveillance manufacturers who offer either cameras or NVRs, TeleEye provides a complete HD surveillance solution, including HD cameras, HD video recorders and video management applications. The TeleEye HD solution guarantees optimised performance, seamless compatibility and single contact point when technical support is required. *Patent - pending

TAC Satchwell unveiled its line-up of DigitalSENTRY (DS) products, including DS RealVue

DS RealVue Digital Video Management Solutions bring to the security industry the first real-time digital video recorders capable of recording 32 cameras simultaneously at 25 frames per second at full D1 resolution on a single chassis.  Using advanced compression technology, the captured image size is as small as 1k while recording at CIF resolution, which results in smaller storage requirements and reduced network bandwidth. DS RealVue recorders can be seamlessly integrated along side of existing DigitalSENTRY components, combining real-time recording and lower frame rate recording as each unique environment demands, all managed through a single DigitalSENTRY interface.  The DS RealVue XPress Digital Video Management System is available in 8, 16, and 32 channel configurations.  It supports IP and analog cameras side-by-side, video analytics and 16 channels of audio. Real time recording at full D1 (720x576) resolution simultaneously on 32 channels at 25 frames per second (fps) Broadcast quality images on all channels for high security areas MPEG-4 video Compression - Provides smaller file size resulting in smaller storage requirements and reduced network bandwidth Ability to dynamically change individual camera settings based on status Automatically changing frame rate, image quality and resolution based on an alarm/event or schedule DigitalSENTRY monitoring software - DS RealVue XPress operates DigitalSENTRY, Integral Technologies’ enterprise-class video monitoring software that is fully backward compatible with previous DigitalSENTRY versions. Easy Evidence - When an out-of-the-ordinary event occurs, such as a robbery, users can simply push the blue Easy Evidence button and the video information is automatically exported to the CD/DVD.
