Visitors to the Siemens stand at Security Essen received useful information and demonstrations, the stand was split into zones: Planning, Building, Products & Systems and Modernisation.  Visitors explored the areas they were most interested in.Also launched at the show was a new innovative feature in SISTORE MX Hybrid recording system that allows people monitoring, including people counting – it really has to be seen to be believed.  The new CCWC1345 high resolution camera with PIXIM technology had its worldwide launch at the show, plus the new range of Solaris speed domes with up to 26x optical zoom.IP Technology: the new SISTORE CX1 was previewed at the show; a one camera MPEG4 transceiver, with the additional function of running EDS (Enhanced Detection Solution) software for outdoor video motion detection and object tracking.  This made a great addition to the SISTORE CX4 and CX8 codecs.

Siemens Building Technologies are pleased to present the new digital recorder SISTORE AX CD-R.SISTORE AX with CD-R is a multifunctional digital recording system with a recording speed of up to 200 ips for time lapse, event driven and pre-alarm recordings together with the recording of up to four audio channels.  With its four video outputs this digital device realizes a video matrix functionality and thus replaces analogue devices such as matrixes or multiplexers. The March Networks DVR Configuration Tool and March Networks DVR Viewer applications are core to all March Networks digital video systems. The DVR Configuration Tool manages any number of DVRs, and has the ability to recognize any new DVR added to an IP network automatically. Administrators can configure devices connected to the DVR easily, including video inputs, audio inputs, alarm inputs and peripheral devices. The March Network DVR software enables users of digital CCTV systems to perform a range of tasks in diverse security applications including retail, banking, transportation, education, healthcare, government and facilities management.

Samsung has taken positive action in response to the worldwide shortage of 1TB HDDs by introducing new models to its H.264 SRD series of DVRs. "The immediate availability of these new models will ensure continuity of supply to our customers during a time when all market sectors, and not just the security industry, are affected by the severe shortage of 1TB HDDs," said Peter Ainsworth, Senior Product Manager for Samsung Techwin Europe Ltd. "A new 500GB storage version, which shares the same features as the other DVRs in the SRD series, offers an easily upgradable and cost-effective solution for those looking for the best quality digital video recording." Samsung has also introduced models which are being supplied without HDDs to give customers the flexibility to purchase additional approved HDDs by way of one of its HDD upgrade kits, which can be easily installed on-site without voiding the warranty of the DVR.
