TeleEye showcased remote CCTV monitoring solutions for vehicles

Remote CCTV surveillance manufacturer, TeleEye, has recently launched the rugged RX504 mobile DVR Transmitter, specifically developed for use in transport applications.  CCTV images are compressed using TeleEye's unique SMAC-M technology and then transmitted to a monitoring station or central monitoring point using GPRS mobile phone networks.  Operators can then provide an immediate and appropriate response to events, based on the visual information before them. The real cost of a mobile CCTV solution has never been the equipment installed in the car, truck, bus or train, but the cost of transmitting live CCTV images over mobile phone networks.  TeleEye recognised this fact and entered into a strategic partnership with Wireless Logic (part of the Phones International Group, owned by Peter) to provide low cost tariffs on O2, Vodafone & Orange networks.  The price reduction this achieved for TeleEye has made their remote monitoring solution viable in many more mobile transport applications than previously anticipated. Duncan Ross, UK MD of TeleEye, concludes: "Employers have a duty of care towards employees who drive or travel as part of their job.  They can't afford to expose employees to potentially dangerous transport situations or lone worker situations.  Likewise, they do not want to incur compensation claims from staff for work-based incidents that never happened.  The RX504 and its associated mobile phone network provides a cost effective, remote CCTV monitoring solution that enables employers to manage staff, avoid fraudulent litigation claims and provide high-quality, time-based CCTV evidence of events for the police."

Bosch extends its range of encoders with VideoJet 8008 8-channel MPEG encoder
Bosch extends its range of encoders with VideoJet 8008 8-channel MPEG encoder

VideoJet 8008 is Bosch's high-end, multi-stream Video-over-IP CCTV network-based video surveillance encoder.  It delivers the highest quality real-time video available today and its hardware engine produces 25 images per second of pure MPEG-4 video in DVD-like quality.  This 19-inch rack-mount single unit incorporates multiple encoders delivering eight full-motion video channels, with each channel generating non-multiplexed video at 30 images per second (IPS).The high-quality output video signals allow video to be viewed on any standard PC using Bosch's VIDOS video management software or a web browser.  Alternatively if used in conjunction with a high-performance MPEG-4 decoder a point-to-point hybrid analogue/digital solution can be created.  This technology uses the highest quality analogue cameras and analogue CCTV monitors, but with a pure IP solution in-between.The VideoJet 8008 has Dual Streaming technology, which encodes the video input signal in two different ways but simultaneously.  So, for example, in 2CIF resolution with 6 IPS for recording, and in 4CIF with 25 IPS for live viewing at a workstation with software decoder or a hardware monitor. The encoder features three key recording modes: continuous ring or linear recording; a continuous alarm-sensitive mode and a pre-/post-alarm option which preserves a short segment of video just before and after the alarm (up to 128 events per camera can be recorded). The internal hard disk records weeks at a time locally, or for more extended recording periods it can use the VIDOS-NVR network video recorder, which has RAID5 disk arrays attached for maximum fault tolerance and a storage capacity of over 45 TB.Commenting on the VideoJet 8008, Adam Breeze, Strategic Marketing Manager of Bosch Security Systems said, "Not only is it powerful enough to simultaneously allow MPEG-4 live viewing, recording and playback or backup, but combined with a complete set of security and distributed system management it is also the market's most powerful, highest quality MPEG-4 encoder and recorder."

RIVA RE4000 4 channel H.264 D1 network video encoder with comprehensive SDK support
RIVA RE4000 4 channel H.264 D1 network video encoder with comprehensive SDK support

Considering the vast investment of analog surveillance and CCTV cameras installed worldwide and the demand for saving costs, RIVA standalone network video encoders are the ideal solution to enable perfect migration to IP-Video. RIVA RE1000 is a one channel standalone network encoder with a compression rate of 25/30 fps in all resolution, up to D1. RIVA RE4000, the 4-channel H.264 standalone network encoder offers a compression rate of 100/120 fps at D1 resolution. Providing robust and high video quality, both RE1000 and RE4000 encoders already dispose of the primary intelligent "onboard" video content analytics (VCA) at no extra cost. Why VCA? The benefit of RIVAs embedded video analytics (VCA) is the analysis and evaluation of video images before being stored in a camera or being transmitted to management or storage systems. RIVA´s intelligent video analytics is able to track numerous targets and supports multisegment polygonal detection zones and segmented lines. It disposes of a self-learning algorithm: environmental changes, e.g. caused by different light conditions due to cloud formation or artificial light, repetitive movements occured by swaying trees or rippling water will be ignored, even in the primary VCA. Additional advanced VCA modules for special applications, e.g. people or vehicle counting, access control or object tracking are optionally available. Range of real-time video encoders from artec technologies AG

With the MULTIEYE real-time video encoders MVE 1000/2000/4000, artec technologies, the German manufacturer of high-end CCTV equipment, again sets standards. The usage of encoders saves cost and secures past investments in analogue equipment by seamlessly combining analogue und IP-based video surveillance. Due to the integration with existing analogue cameras and/or other video sources over the IP Network, distant locations can be embedded in the video surveillance system easily. The MVE encoders are specially designed to be combined with artec's MULTIEYE HYBRID and MULTIEYE-NET software as well as with MULTIEYE-HYBRID DVRs.  But of course they can also be used as standalone devices for IP based remote video and audio transmission. All MVE encoders offer MPEG4 / MJPEG transmission with up to 25 IPS (PAL), 30 IPS (NTSC) per second in 4CIF format on each channel.  Depending on the model 1, 2 or 4 video inputs with loop trough are provided.  Offering USB interface i.e. to attach external storage, RS232 / 485, bi-directional audio as well as alarm in- and outputs the encoders are definitely "state-of-the-art".  The configuration of the MVE encoder is easy with either the MULTIEYE-Software or alternatively trough standard web browser.Special features:  Real-time network transmission of up to 4 simultaneous video streams in D1 resolution (720x576 pixel)MPEG-4 and MJPEG compression for high quality video streams (DVD quality) Deinterlacing function increases image quality at D1 resolutionBandwidth efficient dual-encoding Audio support for up to 4 simultaneous streams (G.711) Configurable image size, frame rate and bandwidth Optional external image storage trough USB interface Integrated web server Multicast and internet streamingVideo output in Quad (MVE 4000)Enhanced security by integrated configurable encryption trough AES (Advanced Encryption Standard) and password protectionIntegrated motion detection for activity triggered transmissionWith the MULTIEYE AUTOBACKUP module fully automatic export and archiving of video- and audio recordings can be realised Serial ports for PTZ camera control and/or integration of i.e. cash register-, access control- and ATM data (needs MULTIEYE DATALOG Module) Can also be used as standalone solution Perfectly aligned with MULTIEYE-HYBRID and MULTIEYE-NET Easy integration in third party systems trough HTTP API
