BWA Technology - IFSEC Security Industry Awards finalist

BWA Technology's DiREX-ONE - only one video server chosen in the finale for the category "Communication Product of the Year" of the prestigious IFSEC 2009 Security Industry Awards.DiREX-ONE - dual-resolution H.264/AME encoderThe compact DiREX-ONE network video server allows superb H.264/AME real time streaming simultaneously in suitable for mobile communications CIF and in high-quality 4CIF resolution. It consumes very little power via PoE and provides 12V camera power supply output. Alarm-controlled recording can be performed on several NAS and on a directly connected USB storage - e.g. the new USB-DOCK1. H.264/AME (Advanced Motion Estimation) enable up to 40% more efficiently video compression in comparison to H.264 Baseline Profile.USB-DOCK1 - rugged HDD storage for professional applicationsThe USB-DOCK1 is a unique, swappable HDD memory system offering all the advantages, which are expected from a hard disk data medium: ultra-high-speed, high memory capacity and immediate access to data. An extended input voltage range, power supply output and USB screw-locking feature allow for industrial use in many mobile applications. The docking station's compact and heavy-duty aluminium housing requires no fan. The encapsulated mounted cartridge has a write protection switch and reliably protects the hard disk against electrostatic charging and against damages resulting from drops of up to 1 meter. The motor-driven media loading mechanism allows removing the data carrier during operation (hot-pluggable).DiREX-4SCAN - look me in the faceBWA Technology demonstrated a prototype, their new DiREX-4SCAN - active 3D video analytics system with smart face localisation.Currently in the final stages of development and still with a little room to define the final feature list, the DiREX-4SCAN will provide a compact automatic control system for pan/tilt cameras and speed domes. The embedded system analyses video content from up to four stationary cameras and realise real-time facial zooming. It is expected to achieve market launch around August or September this year.
