Surveon recently announced that the police unit in southern Taiwan has adopted 4000+ Surveon IP cameras for city surveillance application. To ensure the protection on lives and properties of citizens, the police unit in southern Taiwan planned to upgrade its inner-city surveillance system that needs to be fully integrated with the control center, branches, sub-station junctions and the existing IT infrastructure. As a result, Surveon’s 3-megapixel camera offered not only high image quality and good low light performance, but also came with extremely low failure rate, ensuring all traffic on the roads and streets can be well-monitored.

To resolves the issues, Surveon fulfilled the project requirement with 3000 cameras which were fully compatible with the 3rd-party VMS solution, giving customer an easy integrated option for the case. Moreover, with the industrial-grade components, the cameras remained good condition for a few years with an average failure rate of less than 0.03%, also reducing a huge maintenance cost for partner.

Designed for city surveillance, Surveon CAM2441SC not only featured with professional functions including High Dynamic Range (HDR) and Region of Interest (ROI), but also supported offline recording that automatically stores the video to the SD card during downtime and resend the video to the NVR when the network is recovered to compensate the limited bandwidth issue that might be encountered on outdoor installation and monitoring.
