| Improving the security management system in FEWC building |
FEWC office building- a local commerce office building in Taiwan, that wanted to install advance surveillance system throughout the building including intersections and basement, which were considered to be security-risk areas. This installation also aimed at complying with the local security policies regarding security management in all provinces that were business centres in Taipei His-Chi.
FEWC commerce office building was looking for CCTV and IP security system that was reliable, high-quality, and affordable for a limited budget. In the original, analogue-based surveillance system of the FEWC commerce office building, the clarity of recorded images was limited and real-time viewing of video was not possible. Operation of the overall surveillance system did not facilitate immediate response to emergencies. Moreover, camera configuration was not flexible enough, resulting in difficulties with system deployment as well as involving high costs for expanding the existing system. Additionally, follow-up, maintenance and technical service of the equipment could not be performed as quickly as needed. In the face of these difficulties, the FEWC commerce office building decided to upgrade its existing analogue system.

| EverFocus CCTV and IP solution offered a reliable and high-quality security system |
The new surveillance system based on EverFocus analogue cameras provides new advanced functionalities, combined with extreme ease of deployment and intelligence. As well as the EverFocus EPTZ3000 PTZ Cameras which provide 360-degree monitoring. Moreover, the analogue CRT TVs that had acted as surveillance monitors at the back-end were replaced with digital LCD flat screens, providing image displays with improved sharpness. The analogue DVR system was also replaced by a EverFocus Compact- size MPEG4 DVRs.
The selected EverFocus video solution comprised 776pcs of Color Dome cameras and network cameras for monitoring all important areas, such as entrance, elevator and plaza. 50pcs of EverFocus Speed dome cameras for tracking situation in other security-risk areas such as basement and veranda.
126pcs of EverFocus DVR allows the user to remotely monitor images through a simple TCP/IP connection. The remote viewing software is embedded in the unit and password protected to enable remote monitoring from any secure network connection.
8 pcs of Fibre optics was used for wiring the system. The DVR also allows you to configure Multiple detection area masks and freely adjust the motion detection sensitivity of easy camera to suit building management needs.
Result
After implementation of the new EverFocus video solution, the flexibility of the camera configuration was remarkably improved in terms of the ability to add, remove, and relocate individual units. The quality of surveillance images was greatly improved, and prompt response to possible emergencies was made possible. Additionally, long-term maintenance and support services were set up, and the introduction of new video surveillance software facilitated the installation and management of surveillance equipment.
The EverFocus CCTV and IP solution offered a reliable and high-quality security system meeting the budget requirements-all of these attributes were the main criteria that the FEWC office was looking for in their security management system.
