SeeView Security installs exacqVision IP Video Surveillance System at George Mason University
High definition megapixel cameras from Arecont Vision and hybrid exacqVision NVR servers now protect GMU
SeeView Security, Inc. (SeeView) announced that it has completed the installation of a complete high definition IP camera surveillance system for George Mason University in the Washington, D.C. metro area. This state-of-the-art system utilises Arecont Vision high definition megapixel cameras and hybrid exacqVision NVR servers from Exacq Technologies. These servers incorporate traditional analogue surveillance cameras with today's latest network megapixel cameras, providing resolutions of two, five and even eight megapixels.

The new systems provide coverage within the Recreation and Athletic Complex and the Aquatic and Fitness Centres at George Mason University (GMU). The 120,000 square foot Recreation and Athletic Complex boasts three gymnasiums, two racquetball courts, two squash courts, and a two story fitness gallery that spans over 15,000 square feet. The facility is home to Intramural Sports, Club Sports, three intercollegiate sports (tennis, volleyball, and wrestling), and ROTC, as well as classroom and offices for the School of Recreation, Health and Tourism. The George Mason Aquatic & Fitness Centre's state-of-the-art facility supports a wide range of activities for the University community. Renovated in 2007, the Aquatic and Fitness Centre now offers a recreational pool, an Olympic-size competition pool and diving well, a 16-person hot tub, a dry sauna, and a 2-story fitness gallery with 3,000 square feet of cardio and 5,000 square feet of weight training equipment.

"We have been extremely happy working with SeeView Security on the RAC and AFC projects," notes Adam Huffman, Director of Recreation at GMU. "Their prices were affordable, installation was delivered in a timely manner, and customer service was second-to-none. We highly recommend them to anyone and look forward to working with them again on future products."

"SeeView is honoured to have been chosen by George Mason University to deploy this best-of-breed video surveillance solution," adds Daniel McKinney, Vice President of SeeView Security. "GMU is rapidly becoming recognised as a leader in the adoption of leading edge technology and this high-definition IP-based surveillance system will certainly add to their reputation."

"We are extremely pleased to be an important part of this project," notes Dave Underwood, President of Exacq Technologies. "The combination of high definition cameras and our powerful, yet easy-to-use exacqVision video management system will allow GMU personnel to better access, record and review situations that may arise."
