ACTi launched an IP video surveillance project to secure mobile operator Utel in Kiev, Ukraine |
As an IT company with advance knowledge for networking, the technical department of Utel decided to install a IP base video surveillance system. The project is installed in the data center in Kiev, and the monitored areas include NOC room, server room, and visitor room. With a ready network infrastructure, cabling is no longer an expensive issue. In addition, all the installed ACTi IP cameras are equipped with POE (Power over Ethernet) function, all the power consumption, and audio / video data are transmitted through one Cat 5 Ethernet cable.
Altogether, 28 ACTi IP cameras are installed:
- ACM-4201 ( IP Cube Megapixel camera) x 24
- ACM-7411(IP Vandal Proof Megapixel camera) x 1
- ACM-1311(IP/IR D1 Bullet camera) x 3
Megapixel resolution provides crystal clear image, together with ACTi NVR digital zoom function, security guards can easily find suspects from live view or playback. Also with build-in IR light camera (range: 20 meters), even at 0 lux condition the security can still easily monitor all the dark areas. In the control center, 64 channel free ACTi NVR Professional management software is installed in a dedicated server to manage 28 IP cameras. In the future, if more surveillance cameras are required, the customer can simply expand the system without any additional expenses result from upgrading server. ACTi NVR Professional version solution, is as safe and cost effective as traditional DVR closed system, but with the benefits of digital technology, such as megapixel resolution, POE (power over Ethernet), and economic and enormous storage capacity.
