ACTi's Video Server, SED-2100R, and Transcoder, SED-3200, has enabled Bari Soccer stadium in Italy to incorporate IP based CCTV systems. Incorporating with EL.MO's DVR, Matrices and monitoring solutions, the new system allows centralized control and high integration of different CCTV systems. The use of wireless AP's also allows long distance transmission of video & control data, providing simple & cost effective solution over LAN environments.
The CCTV system includes 24 analog cameras in total: 6 pan-tilt cameras are installed around the playing field; the other 18 cameras are positioned in the car parks and inside the stadium.
The distance between the cameras and the control centre is considerable, so the integration of wireless AP's was the best solution rather than rigorous cabling.
The SED-2100R network video servers along with a media converter have been installed for each camera. The video server transmits video signals and RS-485 data over the network. In the control centre, 24 pieces of SED-3200 network video transcoders have been installed. The decoders are connected to video distributors in order to transmit video signals to the dedicated monitor, the matrix and the DVR simultaneously. The control centre is equipped with three joystick keyboards for the security agents to display and pan tilt the desired cameras.
