Aéroports de Paris Group has deployed Verint® Nextiva® Intelligent Edge Devices to enhance the safety of passengers using the new Galerie Parisienne terminal extension at the Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris, France.
Charles de Gaulle is one of three Paris airports managed by Aéroports de Paris Group. The Galerie Parisienne extension, the largest of its kind in France, can accommodate up to 26 aircraft, including six of the new Airbus 380s, and will enable the airport to handle an additional 8.5 million passengers each year.
More than 600 cameras in the new terminal have been integrated with the Aéroports de Paris' existing IP CCTV network. The project now comprises more than 4,000 video encodings on a single digital system and a single network, of which more than 600 are supported by Verint's Nextiva Intelligent Edge Devices.
The Verint Nextiva Intelligent Edge Devices help deliver the highest level of security to safeguard passengers, airline companies and partners. By delivering high-quality recorded video, the Verint solution helps Aéroports de Paris comply with new French regulations regarding the management of video in public places. The solution was delivered through Verint partner Controlware Communications.
"We are pleased to help the Aéroports de Paris Group enhance security at Paris Charles de Gaulle," says David Parcell, managing director, EMEA for Verint Systems. "As a leading provider of IP video solutions for the transport industry, Verint understands the needs of mission critical transit authorities and is committed to delivering innovative solutions to address their most important security concerns."
