Panasonic CCTV cameras installed in the Stade de France in Saint-Denis, Paris

A tailored Panasonic security solution was installed at the Stade de France. For the installation over 120 Panasonic surveillance cameras were used, including:

WV-CW960 - all weather and vandal resistant dome camera, colour/monochrome switchable with automatic switching to B/W for night surveillance, 30x optical zoom and 300x digital zoom, IP66 rated housing which is rain resistant, has built in sun shield, fan and heaters, minimum illumination of 0.5 lux in colour and 0.04 lux in B/W, 540 TVL horizontal resolution in colour and 570 TVL in B/W, 256 preset positions, high speed 360º continuous panning, auto tracking, 240 volt AC.

WV-CP480 - Super Dynamic III Day/Night static camera featuring ABF (Auto Back Focus), Super Dynamic III technology delivers 160x (PAL) wider dynamic range compared to conventional cameras, ABF (Auto Back Focus) ensures easy installation and stable focus in both color and B/W modes, minimum illumination of 0.5 lux in colour and 0.06 lux in B/W, 540 TVL horizontal resolution in colour and 570 TVL in B/W, • Day/Night input and alarm output terminals, Auto Image Stabilizer for applications where vibration or wind is a concern.

WV-CW370 - Super Dynamic II Weather Resistant Fixed Camera with Day/Night and 8x Varifocal lens, High sensitivity: 0.65 lux (Colour), 0.09ux (B/W), ABF (Auto Back Focus) adjustment, IP66 rated water and dust resistant, Built-in heater function for varying temperature, 5.0 ~ 40 mm, 8x Varifocal lens with 2x digital zoom.

Panasonic WV-CW960 PTZ camera

WV-CW960 PTZ cameras are used to cover the terraces inside the stadium and the gangways entering the stadium for crowd control purposes, allowing the security team to make use of its strong 30x optical zoom and 300x digital zoom to get close to incidents.

WV-CP480 static cameras are mounted in housing on PTZ platforms. These cameras are linked to the infrared perimeter protection alarms whereby if an intrusion is detected the camera's alarm preset is triggered and will focus on the intrusion.

WV-CW370 fixed cameras are used in access corridors which contain the food and drink kiosk used during half time and intervals from games. The cameras can be viewed by the security team from three separate control rooms allowing for greater surveillance control. Like most stadiums across Europe the Police uses its main control room on match days to keep a watchful eye on the thousands of fans entering and within the stadium. A multiplexer allows for a multi-screen display on the control room's video wall utilising a Panasonic 42" plasma. Incidents are downloaded from Panasonic digital video recorders across a secure network to be used for evidential purposes.
